Lara Diloy conducts \u2018Peter and the Wolf\u2019 with the Madrid Symphony Orchestra<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From 27 December to 4 January, the Real Teatro de Retiro will screen the acclaimed short film Peter and the Wolf, directed by Suzie Templeton and winner of the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in 2008.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The film, produced by Break Thru Films, will be accompanied by a live performance of the chamber version of Prokofiev’s score of the same name by eleven musicians from the Orquesta Titular del Teatro Real under the musical direction of Lara Diloy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The production combines stop-motion animation by Templeton, production design by Marek Skrobecki and the music written in 1936 by Prokofiev (a classic composition for children’s audiences) in an adaptation by Carlos Dom\u00ednguez-Nieto. With an approximate duration of 30 minutes, the performances will take place at 12:00 noon on 27, 28, 29 and 30 December 2024, as well as on 2, 3 and 4 January 2025, in sessions especially aimed at family audiences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
