Oviedo’s musical tradition is a treasure

During the 2021-2022 season, the young conductor Lara Diloy is assistant musical director of the Oviedo Opera Season.

In this interview by Franco Torre for La Nueva España, the Spanish conductor highlights the work carried out to bring forward an opera season like the one in Oviedo and the musical culture of the city, with two orchestras of great relevance on the national scene such as the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias (OSPA) and the Oviedo Filarmonía, with which she made her debut in 2019.

“Women have come into music and stage direction to give another point of view and another way of guiding, to enrich these professions”.
